Happy Birthday to Phil Hartman

Sep 25, 2013 -- 9:39am

Yesterday would have been the 65th birthday of one of the funniest guys ever...Mr. Phil Hartman. He was killed by his wife back in 1998 and I honestly believe he was the best cast member of SNL, where he was on 155 episodes. Of course Phil did a lot of other things too. My favorite being his role on The Simpsons as Lionel Hutz & Troy McClure (he was in 52 episodes). You might remember Troy from such films as "Here Comes The Coast Guard" and "Buck Henderson, Union Buster".

Of course he was also on the cast of "News Radio",  "Pee Wee's Playhouse", "The Three Amigos, CB4, "Cheech & Chong's Next Movie" and did voice work for "The Jetsons", "The Smurfs" and much much more. His first appearence on TV was on an episode of "The Dating Game"

He also did album art work for 70's bands like Poco, American and designed the logo for Crosby, Stills & Nash.

So to honor one of the greatest comics of our time. Here are a few clips.
