The line up for Music Midtown in Atlanta Sept 20 & 21 was announced yesterday and Arctic Monkeys will be playing. Today, they released a new single. Check it out.

Back in March Morrissey played a very small show at Hollywood High (Yes...it's a real highschool). It was one of a few shows that actually happened on that tour because Moz had to delay the tour at one point to go back to England and take care of his sick Mum (that's how they say it there) and once he started the tour again he had is own health issues. It looks like the show at Hollywood High will not only be released on DVD but just might be shown on the big screen around the country as well. Here is a clip of the opening of the show with Russell Brand introducing him.
It speaks for itself.

Looks like Kim Deal has decided to leave the Pixies. Granted they "broke-up" for 11 years and haven't played live since 2011, but there has always been talk of a new album. No word from Pixies camp if she will be replaced or if they will just call it a day. Either way it kind of sux. Find out more details here at Pitchfork.com In the meantime..enjoy Ms. Deal's work in the video below.

This guy got some good news last nights. 22 years after their last show, Minniapolis's finest (other than PRINCE) The Replacements will be playing 3 shows. They are going to head line all 3 Riot Fest shows (Chicago, Denver & Toronto) in Sept. I know, I know, it won't be the same thing as when I saw them many years ago. But even if it is just Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson, it was still be all kinds of awesome. Check them out playing live on the very short lived International Rock Awards from '89.

If you have 50 minutes to spare, I think you should watch the Ramones run through 25 songs.
