Former R.E.M. guitarist Pete Buck is not only repressing his 2012 solo album, he is also putting out a "monkey inspired" single. OK, OK...I know I have been posting a lot of stuff about Queens Of The Stone Age and their up coming album "Like Clockwork" that will be out on June 4th. But it's not just me. NME has gotten on the bandwagon too. That is where I found out that Mr. Homme turns 40 today. NME didn't just tell me that, they also put together his "10 Finest Moments". There's his duet of "Jackson" with Florence & The Machine, performing with Arctic Monkeys, hanging out with Anthony Bourdain, of cousrse some QOTSA and Them Crooked Vultures and even doing a commercial for the latest Scissor Sisters album. Queens Of The Stone Age are EVERYWHERE!!! They were on Later With Jools Holland, they were all over Adult Swim and now they are all over my blog. Want another taste of "Like Clockwork" that will be released on June 4? Put on a hat, because this is going to blow your mind!

Last week on The Flight Test the guys from Beware Of Darkness came by the studio to chat it up and play acoustic. A few days later they were on Conan. Check them out from last nights show.

Sure there are a lot of great festivals out there. Lollapalooza, Coachella, Austin City Limits just to name a few. They also have pretty amazing line ups, including MUSE, Depeche Mode, Phoenix etc of course 3 day passes can run anywhere from $200-$400. Some might say "You get what you pay for". That's true to an extent, but there are exceptions. For example Riot Fest that will be in Chicago Sept 13-15. How much are tickets  you ask? They start at $23 per day...YEAH, I said it...$23 per day. I know...that is crazy talk.

Now you are probably saying "well, what little no name bands are playing a festival that is that cheap?" How does, Motorhead, Violent Femmes, Public Enemy, Fall Out Boy, Rancid, Bad Religion, AFI, Sublime, Blondie, Bob Mould, X and many many more!!!

Queens Of The Stone Age performed some new stuff on "Later With Jools Holland" last night (5/14/13) and of course it sounds GREAT!!! They did "My God Is The Sun" which we have been playing on KZQ for a spell as well as another one from "Like Clockwork" that we haven't heard yet. Check out both performances here!!!
